Meet seasoned stylist, Monique DesLauriers. Monique graduated from the John Casablancas Institute in 2008. She has extensive product knowledge and colour theory training from Wella, Davines, Kevin Murphy, Oribe, EVO Fabuloso, and Staino. Needless to say, she values investing in her continued education as a stylist. Next up is mastering colour correction.
Monique specializes in short women’s cuts, bobs, blondes, highlights, and balayage. She is inspired first and foremost by her clients. She thrives on client experience, whether it be through laughter, personal connection, or educating those in her chair on process and at-home maintenance. She also draws influence from local stylists within the industry.
In her words, “I want to give my clients exactly what they want, in a modern way. I love challenges and finding ways to get there. Seeing other stylists’ talents challenges me to become a better stylist.”
Outside the salon, Monique loves supporting local businesses—checking out new restaurants and discovering artists around the city. When not out and about Monique’s at home cooking with her partner, dabbling in the odd paint-by-number, watching a scary flick, or “telling my cat how cute she is.”
